A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO
INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM
THE IMPROVEMENT OF WARNER AVENUE BETWEEN PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY
AND EDGEWATER LANE
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach desires to improve Warner
Avenue between Pacific Coast Highway and Edgewater Lane; and
Warner Avenue is an important artery in the County of Orange and
of general county interest; and
Article 2, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the California Streets and
Highways Code authorized a county to expend funds apportioned to it
out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any city in
the improvement, construction, or repair of the street within a
city; and

The Orange County Board of Supervisors will provide in the
County Road Budget for fiscal year 1991-1992 an allocation for the

improvements of streets within the incorporated cities in the county
in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing
Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach hereby requests the Orange County Board of
Supervisors to allocate to Huntington Beach the amount of
$153 , 580 . 00 (ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY
DOLLARS) in County funds, to be used to aid the City in the
improvement of Warner Avenue between Pacific Coast Highway and
Edgewater Lane, in accordance with the attached project statement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Huntington Beach has
agreed to fund its share of the improvement of costs of Warner
Avenue between Pacific Coast Highway and Edgewater Lane in fiscal

year 1991-1992, by allocating an amount in the City fiscal budget to
match that of the County.

I, CONNIE BROCKWAY, the duly elected, qualified City
Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day
