A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH SETTING ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION
FOR THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR
WHEREAS, the Agreement for Personal Services between the
City of Huntington Beach and Michael T. Uberuaga, City
Administrator ("Employee") , provides that in addition to base
salary Employee shall have an opportunity to receive an annual
salary merit increase; and
Such agreement also provides that Employee may receive
additional performance pay each year based upon achievement of
goals and objectives, but not to exceed $10, 000 annually; and
The City Council has duly reviewed and considered Employee's
job performance and achievement of goals and objectives and
finds and determines that his performance is rated high in all
areas and that additional performance pay is warranted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach as follows:
1. Employee shall receive a merit increase of 8. 5%,
effective on February 26, 1991, the anniversary date of his
employment, to be part of Employee' s base salary.
2 . Employee shall receive the sum of $10,000 . 00 as
additional performance pay, payable at Employee' s election in a
lump sum within 30 days, in twelve equal installments, or as
deferred compensation. Such payment is not part of base salary.

3 . Except as otherwise modified herein, the salary and
benefits of Employee established by the Agreement dated December
21, 1989 , shall remain in effect until changed by succeeding
resolution or agreement.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th
day of May 1991 .

I, CONNIE BROCKWAY, the duly elected, qualified City
Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the
City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of
members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day
of May 19 91 by the following vote:
