HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 6411 RESOLUTION NO. 6411 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO QUALIFY FOR THE 1993-1994 ORANGE COUNTY COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAMS WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach desires to qualify for the 1993-94 Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Programs, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows : 1. The City has adopted a uniform setback ordinance to protect right-of-way necessary to construct highways pursuant to its Master Plan of Arterial Highways classification; and 2 . The City has adopted provisions for the limitation of access to the arterial highway system in order to protect the integrity of the system; and 3 . The City' s Circulation Plan of Arterial Streets and Highways conforms to that of the County and adjacent public entities except for the following: a . Garfield Avenue, from Edwards Street to Seapoint Street, is classified as a Major Arterial Highway on the City system; b. Indianapolis Avenue, from Lake Street to Beach Boulevard, is deleted from the City system and is being considered for reestablishment as a Commuter Arterial; C. Talbert Avenue, from Springdale Street to Edwards Street, is a Secondary Arterial Highway on the City System; 329 : 7/14/92 :PDA -1- d. Realigned Gothard Street, south of Garfield Avenue, is classified as a Secondary Arterial Highway on the City system; e. Garfield Avenue, from Goidenwest Street to Main Street, is classified as a Major Arterial Highway on the City system; and 4 . The City desires to resolve and eliminate these exceptions through a cooperative study project with the Orange County Environmental Management Agency.
