HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 6477 RESOLUTION NO. 6477 IL A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING THE L1 APPLICATION FOR BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS UNDER SB 821 AND APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF ITS BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN PLAN. WHEREAS , SB 821 provides that two percent Y p o e ce t of each count s p total local Transportation Fund be annually set aside and used to fund the development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and The City of Huntington Beach has planned a bikeway system in conformance with specifications of Caltrans ' Planning and Design .Criteria for Bikeways in California and the Regional Transportation Plan; and The City of Huntington Beach desires to construct the master bikewaysystem within the City utilizing Y the funds Y g available under SB 821. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach as follows : I 1 . To adopt the Bikeway System in conformance with the j r specifications of Caltrans ' Planning and Design I is Criteria for Bikeways in California and the Regional Transportation Plan; 2 . To authorize Robert E. Eichblatt, City Engineer, as the City' s authorized signature and designated contact person; i 169 :AFJk 1 i I'. 3 . To apply for all funds available to the City of Huntington Beach allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian facilities (SB 821) . PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of April 1993 .
