A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5159
ENTITLED, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING A CITY FEE SCHEDULE"
WHEREAS, On October 4 , 1982, the City Council adopted
Resolution No . 5159 establishing a fee schedule for the City;
and
•
The City Council desires to reflect new fees and all
changes in fees charged to the public for City services,
facilities and activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that Resolution No. 5159 is hereby
amended to incorporate the changes set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fee additions and
amendments set out in this Supplemental Fee Resolution No . 41
shall be effective during fiscal year 1993/94 starting on the
dates denoted in Exhibit "A" and thereafter; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended herein, the
tees contained in Resolutions No . 5159, 5188, 5192, 5289 , 5339,
5493 and Supplemental Fee Resolutions 1 through Al
inclusive, shall remain in full force and effect.

FIRE DEPARTMENT
FEE TITLE: HAZARDOUS MATERIALS REVIEW & INSPECTION
FEE CHARGED: To calculate a facility's hazardous materials review and inspection fee, do the following:
1. Take the total number of different chemicals used in the occupancy and find the box in COLUMN 1, "Number of
Chemicals Rang"which matches the total number of different chemicals used.
2. Find the highest"Quantity Range"in COLUMNS 2, 3 or 4 which is determined by the single highest quantity of a
chemical (liquid, gas or solid)that is stored or used in the occupancy.
3. Then find the box which intersects the"(,llumbergf Chgmkg1s Range"(ACROSS)and the"Quanu Range"
COLUMN (DOWN)to calculate the fee.

EXAMPLE: A business uses four(4) different chemicals, two are 55 gals. of liquid(Quantity Range 1), one is 2,000 cu.
ft. of gas(Quantity Range 2) and another is 6,000 lbs. of a solid(Quantity Range 3). The largest quantify
range is 3. Therefore, with four(4)different chemicals used and the highest"Quantity Range 3"then the
fee is$625.

$50 DOCTORS & DENTIST OFFICES FOR MEDICAL GASES (ONE TIME FEE)
$200 GROCERY & RETAIL STORES THAT REPRESENT A DISTINCT HEALTH HAZARD
$200 PAINT STORES
$350 PAINT STORES WITH "H-2" INSIDE STORAGE AND HANDLING ROOM
$400 SERVICE STATIONS
$100 PER OIL TANK BATTERY
$125 LATE FILING FEE
