A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH SUPPORTING THE PASSAGE OF
SENATE BILL 583 CALLING FOR STIFFER PENALTIES FOR
CONVICTED GRAFFITEERS
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has a direct interest
in eradicating graffiti within city limits and imposing stronger
penalties for convicted graffiteers and "taggers, " and
The City Council is desirous of having Senate Bill 583,
which provides for the suspension of the driver ' s license of any
minor convicted of tagging, and discretionable monetary
liability on the part of the parents of the convicted minor
passed into law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach expresses its support of Senate Bill
583 and urges the passage of such by the Assembly of the State
of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day
of June 1993 .

that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative
vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21ST day
