A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5159
ENTITLED, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING A CITY FEE SCHEDULE"
(SUPPLEMENTAL FEE RESOLUTION NO. 44 . )
WHEREAS, On October 4 , 1982, the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 5159 establishing a fee schedule for the city;
and
The City Council desires to establish new fees and change
existing fees charged to the public for parking meter rates;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach that Resolution No. 5259 is hereby
amended to incorporate the changes set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fee additions and
amendments set out in this Supplemental Fee Resolution No. 44
shall be effective sixty (60) days after passage hereof and
continue during fiscal year 1993/94 and thereafter; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended herein, the
fees contained in Resolution No. 5159, as amended, shall remain
in full force and effect .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 16th day of August 1993 .

PARKING IN OFF-STREET MUNICIPAL PARKING FACILITIES

*Discounted validations available for initial period of parking according
to the following schedule:
1 . First 2 hours for $.25 for retail , restaurant and office tenants;
2. First 2 1/2 hours for $.25 for cinema tenant.

PARKING IN METEREQ ZONES (Establishment and designation of such zones,
pursuant to Huntington Beach Municipal Code Chapter 10.60)
(A) BUSINESS ZONES
(1 ) The boundaries of the business zones shall be as follows:
(a) Within Main Street right-of-way from Pacific Coast Highway to
Palm Avenue, excluding the west side of Main Street from
Acacia Street to Palm Avenue.
(b) Within Fifth Street right-of-way from Pacific Coast Highway
to Orange Avenue - east side only.
(c) Within Fifth Street right-of-way from Pacific Coast Highway
to Walnut Avenue, west side only.
(d) Within Walnut Avenue right-of-way from Third Street to Fifth
Street.
(e) Within Olive Avenue right-of-way from Third Street to Fifth
Street.
(f) On the inland side (northside) of Pacific Coast Highway
right-of-way from Third Street to Sixth Street.
(2) Within the business zone. city parking meters shall be installed to
show legal parking for a period of two (2) hours after deposit of
one (1) twenty-five cent coin for a period of fifteen minutes.
(3) Sixty-minute meters shall be placed within such zones in specific
locations to be determined by the Director of Community Services.
Coins shall be placed in such meters from 6 a.m. to 12 midnight
daily, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
(B) RESIDENTIAL ZONES
(1) The boundaries of the residential zones shall be as follows:
(a) Within First Street right-of-way from Pacific Coast Highway
to Atlanta Avenue.
(b) Within Second Street right-of-way from Pacific Coast Highway
to Orange Avenue.
(c) Within Third Street right-of-way from Walnut Avenue to Olive
Avenue.
(d) within Walnut Avenue right-of-way from First Street to Third
Street.
(e) Within Olive Avenue right-of-way from First Street to Third
Street.

(f) Within Fifth Street right-of-way from Pacific Coast Highway
to Orange Avenue, west side only.
(2) Within the residential zone, sixty-minute meters, 120-minute meters
and twelve-hour meters shall be installed to show legal parking for
a period of one (1) hour after deposit of three (3) twenty-five
cent coins.
(3) Sixty-minute meters, 120-minute meters and twelve-hour meters shall
be placed within this zone in specific locations to be determined
by the Director of Community Services. Coins shall be placed in
such meters from 6 a.m. through 12 midnight daily, including
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. A fee of five dollars ($5) shall
be charged for annual visitor permits to park in residential
metered zones (maximum two (2) permits per household) .
(C) RECREATIONAL ZQNES
(1) The boundaries of the recreational zones shall be as follows:
(a) ZONE A: On the Oceanside of Pacific Coast Highway
right-of-way from Beach Boulevard to Golden Nest Street.
(b) ZONE B: On the inland side (northside) of Pacific Coast
Highway right-of-way from Beach Boulevard to Third Street and
from Sixth Street to Golden West Street.
(c) ZONE : On the oceanside of Pacific Coast Highway, the
parking lots from Golden West Street to a point which is
6,100 feet northwesterly of said Golden West Street.
(d) ZONE Q: Within the city-owned parking lot at the southeast
corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Fifth Street.
(e) ZONE E: Within the boundaries of Huntington Central Park
between Gothard and Golden West Streets at Huntington Central
Library.
(f) ZONE F: Within the parking lots of the public launching
ramps on Warner Avenue.
(2) Within Zones A and B 12-hour meters shall be installed to show
legal parking for a period of one (1) hour after deposit of six (6)
twenty-five cent coins.
(3) Within Zone C 12-hour meters shall be installed to show legal
parking for a period of one (1 ) hour after deposit of six (6)
twenty-five cent coins.
(4) Within Zone D sixty-minute meters shall be installed to show legal
parking after deposit of two (2) twenty-five cent coins.
(5) Within Zone E thirty-minute meters shall be installed to show legal
parking after deposit of one (1) twenty-five cent coin.

(6) Within Zone F twelve-hour meters shall be installed to show legal
parking for a period of one (1 ) hour after deposit of three (3)
twenty-five cent coins.
(7) Thirty-minute meters, sixty-minute meters, 120-minute meters, and
twelve-hour meters shall be placed within recreational zones in
other specific locations to be determined by the Director of
Community Services. Coins shall be placed in such meters from
6 a.m. through 12 midnight daily, including Saturdays, Sundays and
holidays. The Director may determine that certain recreational zone
parking lots may require an earlier curfew for safety purposes.

vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council
