HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 6551 RESOLUTION NO. 6551 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING THE CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF THE CIVIC CENTER PARKING LOT FROM THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Huntington Beach (the "Agency") is authorized to conduct redevelopment activities within the Main- Pier Redevelopment Project Area (the "Project Area"), which activities include the disposition of real property for repayment of Agency debt; and The disposition was found to be in conformance with the General Plan on July 20, 1993; and The Agency and the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach ("City Council") have conducted a duly noticed joint public hearing regarding the proposed transaction in accordance with California Health and Safety Code Sections 33431 and 33433; and The staff report pertaining to the property disposition which has been on display prior to the joint public hearing in accordance with Section 33433 of the California Health and Safety Code,, contains a detailed description of the transaction; and The acquisition of the Agency's property by the City will facilitate redevelopment efforts within the Main-Pier Redevelopment Project Area. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1• The City of Huntington Beach hereby approves the transfer of the property identified by Assessor's Parcel number 02 3-941-06 and a portion of Assessor's Parcel number 023-041-04 and known as Parcel 6, the Southwest 1 7/yorktown2/12/02/93 of Orange County, located generally between Main, Sth, Walnut and Olive Streets, in the City of Huntington Beach, from the Agency to the City. Section 2 The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach finds and determines, based upon the testimony and information presented during the public hearing with respect to the disposition that the consideration for the real property to be transferred to the City by Deed constitutes the fair-market value thereof determined by the highest use permitted under the Redevelopment Plan for the Project Area and based upon the covenants and restrictions previously established. The City Council further finds that the disposition is necesary to effectuate the purpose of the Redevelopment Plan applicable to the Project Area. Pursuant to Section 15326 of the Guidelines to the California Environmental Quality Act, the transfer Is categorically exempt under CEQA. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 5tn day of December , 1993 .
