RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO CONTINUE PARTICIPATION
IN THE CAREER CRIMINAL APPREHENSION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach desires to
continue participation in a certain project designated as the Career Criminal
Apprehension Program, administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning
(hereinafter referred to as OCJP);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Ronald Lowenberg, Chief of
Police of the City of Huntington Beach, is authorized on its behalf to submit the
attached proposal to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City
Council the attached Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or
amendments thereof,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all
matching funds required for said project (including any amendments thereof)
under the Program and the funding terms and conditions of OCJP and that the
cash match will be appropriated as required.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of this
Grant Award Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the
responsibility of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of
California and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall
not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.

I, CONNIE BROCKWAY,the duly elected, qualified City Clerk of
the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said
City, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said
j City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th of June 1994, by the
following vote:
