A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING
ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME FOR DEVELOPMENT
OF INTEGRATED OIL SPILL CONTINGENCY PLANS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach adopted Resolution No.
6403 authorizing the city to enter into a grant agreement with the County of Orange to accept
the award of grant funds from the California State Department of Fish and Game; and
The California Department of Fish and Game has made grant funds available for the
development of a comprehensive oil spill plan. The City of Huntington Beach has the potential
for major oil spills and has a need for a comprehensive oil spill plan;
The County of Orange has been identified as the lead agency for the purpose of
administering the funds;
State of California, Department of Fish and Game procedures require that prior to
awarding of grant funds the city must enter into a grant agreement with the County of Orange;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach resolves as
follows:
SECTION 1: The County of Orange is the lead agency and has authority to
submit, on behalf of the City of Huntington Beach, an application and project proposal for grant
funds in the amount of$5,000 from the State of California.
SECTION 2: The City Administrator is authorized and empowered to execute
all necessary applications, contracts, and agreements on behalf of the City of Huntington
Beach, to implement and cant'out the purposes specified in this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting held thereof on the 5th day of July , 1994.

I, CONNIE BROCKWAY, the duly elected, qualified City Clerk of
the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-offiicio Clerk of the City Council of said
City, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said
City Council at a reg Iar meeting thereof held on the 5th of July, 1994, by the
following vote:
