A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A GRANT PROPOSAL
TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING (OCJP)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach finds it necessary and
desirable to utilize all available means to combat juvenile crime and delinquency; and
Certain funds are available to the City, through the State of California, to be distributed
by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (OCJP), and entitled the Title V Delinquency
Prevention Program, which are to be used to provide services designed to prevent long range
delinquent or criminal behavior in youths of Huntington Beach; and
In order to receive an allocation of the Delinquency Prevention Program funds, the City
must make application to the OCJP; and
The Police Department of the City of Fountain Valley and various local school districts
wish to apply for the OCJP funds in conjunction with the City of Huntington Beach; and
The City Council supports the joint application of the City of Huntington Beach and the
Fountain Valley Police Department and the various local school districts;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved as follows;
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby directs the Chief of Police to
submit a Title V Federal Delinquency Prevention Grant application to the OCJP or other
appropriate state agency as the Title V Delinquency Prevention Program may dictate, in
conjunction with the Fountain Valley Police Department, the Huntington Union High School
District, Huntington Beach Elementary School District, Westminster Elementary School District
and Fountain Valley Elementary School District.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting held thereof on the 17th day of A r ' 1 , 1995.

I, CONIVIE BROCKWAY, the duly elected, qualified City Clerk of
the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said
City, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said
City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the l 7th of April, 1995 the
following vote:
