HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 6724 RESOLUTION NO. 6724 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING ITS PARTICIPATION IN THE COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING SERVICES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach desires to participate in the federal Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS), Making Officer Redeployment Effective (MORE) grant program administered by the COPS office; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that the Chief of Police is authorized to execute the COPS MORE grant award agreement including any extensions or amendments thereof; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project, and the cash match will be appropriated as required; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received under the COPS MORE program shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held thereof on the 24th day of November , 1995.
