A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPOINTING
MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AS ALTERNATE
DIRECTORS TO COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICTS
NOS. 3 AND 11 OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, California Health and Safety Code Section 4730 provides that the
Mayor of the City is a member of the Board of Directors of the County Sanitation
Districts; and,
Mayor Dave Sullivan has submitted a written resignation as Director of County
Sanitation Districts Nos. 3 and 11 of Orange County, California, effective upon the
effective date hereof, or the date of his assumption of the office of Mayor of the City of
Huntington Beach, the earlier of whichever is lawfully appropriate; and,
The interest of the City can best be served by having alternate members serve
on the Board of Directors of said Districts.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, does
hereby RESOLVE and ORDER as follows:
Section 1. The following members of the City Council are hereby appointed to
serve as Directors of the enumerated County Sanitation Districts of Orange County,
California, until further action of the City Council:
County Sanitation District No. 3
First Alternate Director: Councilmember Victor Leipzig
Second Alternate Director: Mayor Pro Tem Ralph Bauer
County Sanitation District No. 11
First Alternate Director: Councilmembers Victor Leipzig and Shirley
Dettloff
Second Alternate Director: Mayor Pro Tem Ralph Bauer
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach this 16th day of January, 1996.

I, CONNIE BROCKWAY, the duly elected, qualified City Clerk of
the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said
City, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed
and adopted by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said
City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th of January, 1996 by
the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers: Harman, Leipzig, Bauer, Sullivan, Dettloff,
Green, Garofalo
NOES: Councilmembers: None
ABSENT: Councilmembers: None
