A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING CALTRANS APPROVE THE .
CLOSING OF MAIN STREET AT PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY FOR THE
RETURN OF THE TERNS FESTIVAL

WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has agreed to host several specific events to
promote visitation and tourism in the City and to support community organizations; and
The Return of the Terns Festival, an event benefiting the Bolsa Chica Conservancy, is
such an event, and requires the closure of the first two blocks of Main Street from Pacific
Coast Highway to Olive Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach requests that Caltrans approve the closure of Main Street at Pacific Coast
Highway from 6:00 a.m. on Friday May 16 through Sunday, May 18 at midnight for the Return
of the Terns Festival.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 7 t h day of April 1997

the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of April, 1997 by the following vote:
