A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING
RESIDENTIAL CURBSIDE REFUSE COLLECTION RATES
WHEREAS, pursuant to Huntington Beach Municipal Code Section 8.20.015,the City
Council shall establish curbside residential refuse collection rates for"basic level of service"as
defined in the Huntington Beach Municipal Code Section 8.20.010(a) and"unit of service"as
defined in Section 8.20.010(k),
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby
resolves as follows:
1. That the monthly rate for curbside residential refuse collection for basic level of
service be $16.49 per unit of service. This rate shall take effect on all billings dated after July 1,
1997, prorated for service from and after July 1, 1997.
2. That this charge for residential curbside collection will be combined with the
residential water billing process.
3. That partial payments shall be applied to outstanding balances in the following
manner:
A. Towards all penalties and interest due the city, and
B. Should a portion of the payment remain, it shall be applied towards outstanding
refuse charges, and
C. Should a portion of the payment remain, it shall be applied towards outstanding
water utility tax balances, and
D. If the account is a member of the Fire Med Service program, any remainder shall
be applied toward this program, and

E. Should a portion of the payment remain, it shall be applied towards water service
charges.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting held thereof on the-2+s+day of 3uly, 1997.
