HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 98-44 RESOLUTION NO. 98-44 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS TO THE EAST GARDEN GROVE-WINTERSBURG CHANNEL FROM 411 METERS DOWNSTREAM OF GOLDENWEST STREET TO 349 METERS UPSTREAM OF GOLDENWEST STREET BY THE ORANGE COUNTY PUBLIC FACILITIES AND RESOURCES DEPARTMENT AND FUNDED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Orange County Facilities and Resources Department, on behalf of the Orange County Flood Control District proposes to construct 100-year flood control improvements to the East Garden Grove-Wintersburg Channel from 411 meters downstream of Goldenwest Street to 349 meters upstream of Goldenwest Street, which project has been found to have beneficial impacts on drainage within the City of Huntington.Beach; and Approval of plans and specifications for this project by the City of Huntington Beach is required under provisions of the California Public Contract Code; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach approve plans and specifications for the proposed project to widen East Garden Grove-Wintersburg Channel from 411 meters downstream of Goldenwest Street to 349 meters upstream of Goldenwest Street by the Orange County Public Facilities and Resources Department_ PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day of June , 1998.
