HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 98-48B RESOLUTION NO. 98- 48 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REAFFIRMING THE CIRCULATION PLAN OF ARTERIAL STREETS AND HIGHWAYS,AND AUTHORIZING THE INITIATION OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT FOR ITS INCLUSION IN THE CIRCULATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS,the General Plan of the City of Huntington Beach was recently amended; and The previous General Plan Circulation Element included a map entitled"Circulation.Plan of Arterial Streets and Highways,"hereinafter referred to as the"Circulation Plan;"and In the process of amending the General Plan, the Circulation Plan was unintentionally omitted from the revised Circulation Element; and The Circulation Plan depicts the currently adopted system of arterial streets and highways within the City of Huntington Beach; and The City Council desires to initiate a General Plan Amendment to include the Circulation Plan in the Circulation Element of the General Plan, NOW,THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows: 1. That the Circulation Plan,as contained in the previous Circulation Element of the General Plan, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit"A"and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein, is hereby reaffirmed as the adopted and approved plan of arterial streets and highways in the City of Huntington Beach; and 2. That the Director of Community Development is hereby directed and authorized to process a General Plan Amendment which includes the incorporation of the Circulation Plan into the Circulation Element of the General Plan. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of July , 1998.
