A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 97-4
AND NEGATIVE DECLARATION NO, 97-16
WHEREAS, General Plan Amendment No. 97-4 is a request to amend the Land Use
Element of the City's General Plan to change the amount and type of allowable development in
Subarea 7C as presented in Exhibit A attached hereto; and
Pursuant to California Government Code, the Planning Commission of the City of
Huntington Beach, after notice duly given, held a public hearing to consider General Plan
Amendment No. 97-4 and Negative Declaration No. 97-16 and recommended approval of said
entitlements to the City Council; and
Pursuant to California Government Code, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, after notice duly given, held a public hearing to consider General Plan Amendment No.
97-4 and Negative Declaration No. 97-16; and
The City Council finds that said General Plan Amendment No. 97-4 is necessary for the
changing needs and orderly development of the community, and is necessary to accomplish
refinement of the General Plan and is consistent with the other elements of the General Plan; and
The City Council finds that Negative Declaration No. 97-16 addresses the environmental
issues pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach as follows:
Section 1. Table LU-4 in the Land Use Element of the General Plan, marked Exhibit
A, is hereby amended to implement General Plan Amendment No. 97-4.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby adopts said
amendment to the General Plan of the City of Huntington Beach.
