A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING CALTRANS
APPROVE THE CLOSING OF PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY FOR THE
HUNTINGTON BEACH PACIFIC SHORELINE MARATHON RUN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach desires to support
community events and bring tourism to the City; and
The City of Huntington Beach is a participating host to the Huntington Beach Pacific
Shoreline Marathon run on January 31, 1999, and;
This community event will require the closing of Pacific Coast Highway, which requires
approval of Caltrans,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach requests that Caltrans approve the closure of Pacific Coast Highway
between Beach Boulevard and Warner Avenue on January 31, 1999, to accommodate the
participants in the Huntington Beach Pacific Shoreline Marathon.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting held thereof on the 5th day of Octob6r 1998.

by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of October, 1998 by the following
