A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO
AMEND THE CIRCULATION PLAN OF ARTERIAL STREETS AND HIGHWAYS MAP BY
APPROVING THE ADDITION OF INDIANAPOLIS STREET, BETWEEN BEACH BOULEVARD
AND LAKE STREET A COLLECTOR STREET.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the State Planning and Zoning Law, the California Government
Code §65493, et seq., the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, after notice
duly given, held a public hearing to consider the amendments to the Circulation Plan to add
Indianapolis between Beach Boulevard and Lake Street as a collector street in the City of
Huntington Beach Circulation Plan of Arterial Highways; and
On October 5 , 19 98 , after notice duly given, a public hearing was
held before the City Council, to consider the amendment of the Circulation Plan; and
The City Council finds that the amendment of the Circulation Plan is reasonable and
necessary to the orderly and efficient flow of traffic, for the preservation of the health and safety
of the inhabitants of the City, and for the orderly development of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby resolves
as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Circulation Plan of Arterial Streets and Highway is hereby
amended to include that segment of Indianapolis Street between Beach Boulevard and Lake
Street, described in Exhibit A attached hereto, as a collector street
SECTION 2. This resolution shall take effect thirty days after its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of October , 1998.
