BETWEEN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AND THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach desires to clarify certain classifications and policies that were established in the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Huntington Beach and the Huntington Beach Municipal Employees Association, dated December 27, 1997, and adopted by Resolution No. 97-91 (the "M.O.U."); NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach resolves as follows: 1. The Side Letter to the M.O.U. dated October 3 , 1998, a copy of which is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof, is hereby approved and ordered implemented in accordance with the terms and conditions thereof PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19 th day of October , 1998. SIDE LETTER TO THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AND THE MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION This side letter is to amend the Memorandum of Understanding in effect since December 27, 1997, to clarify specific classification and salary issues which have since been resolved through the use of an independent classification consultant. The City and Association have mutually agreed to implement the following classification and salary recommendations. This side letter will be incorporated into any new Memorandum of Understanding between the City and the Municipal Employees' Association. A.
