A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON BEACH CONSENTING TO AND CALLING FOR
A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED 1999 AMENDMENT
TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE
HUNTINGTON BEACH REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has established
boundaries and formulated a Redevelopment Plan("Plan") for the merged Huntington Beach
Redevelopment Project by Ordinance Nos. 2576, 2577, 2578, 2582, 2634, 2743, 3002, and 3343
on December 16, 1996 of the City of Huntington Beach; and
The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Huntington Beach("Agency") and the City
Council desire to amend the Plan("1999 Amendment")to establish the authority to use eminent
domain on residential property in the Main.-Pier subarea of the Huntington Beach
Redevelopment Project Area; and
Pursuant to Section 33458 of the California Community Redevelopment Law, Health and
Safety Code Sections 33000 et seq., a joint public hearing on the proposed 1999 Amendment
may be held with the consent of the City Council and Agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby consents
to and calls for a joint public hearing of the City Council and Agency to consider the
Redevelopment Plan.
The time and date of such public hearing shall be Monday, August Y),.1999 at 7.00 p.m.,
or as soon as possible thereafter, in the City Council Chambers.
Staff is hereby authorized and directed to prepare, publish, and mail such notices and
documents and do all other acts as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this resolution.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting thereof on the 6th day of July 999.

I, CONNIE BROCKWAY, the duly elected, qualified City Clerk of
the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City,
do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of July, 1999 by the following vote:
AYES: Julien, Bauer, Green, Dettloff, Harman, Sullivan
