A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING CALTRANS
APPROVE THE CLOSING OF PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY FOR THE
HUNTINGTON BEACH PACIFIC SHORELINE MARATHON RUN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach desires to support
community events and bring tourism to the City; and
The City of Huntington Beach is a participating host to the Pacific Shoreline Marathon
run on January 30, 2000, and;
This community event will require the closing of Pacific Coast Highway, which requires
approval of Caltrans,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach requests that Caltrans approve the closure of Pacific Coast Highway
between Beach Boulevard and Warner Avenue on January 30, 2000, to accommodate the
participants in the Huntington Beach Pacific Shoreline Marathon.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting held thereof on the 20th day of September 1999.

1, CONNIE BROCKWAY, the duly elected, qualified City Clerk of
the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said City,
do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of September, 1999 by the
following vote:
AYES: Julien, Bauer, Garofalo, Green,Dettloff, Harman
NOES: Sullivan

ABSTAIN: None
