HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2000-45 RESOLUTION NO. 2000-45 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING A SALARY SCHEDULE FOR NON-PERMANENT EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, the City employs part-time, temporary and seasonal employees to fill positions, none of which are represented by a recognized employee organization("non- permanent employees"); and The City Council desires to increase the wages of such non-permanent employees; and The wages of the permanent employees, the Municipal Employees Association ("MEA"), Management Employees' Organization("MEO"), and non-represented employees have been increased by four percent (4%), and three percent (3%) effective December 25, 1999, and December 23, 2000, respectively, pursuant to the Memoranda of Understanding between the City, MEA and MEO; and These non-permanent employees should also receive compensation adjustments because such non-permanent employees have had only one wage adjustment of four percent(4%) since 1991. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows: Section 1. Effective May 1, 2000, the wages of all non-permanent employee classes listed on the attached EXHIBIT "A," incorporated herein by this reference, shall be increased to the salary ranges reflected therein. 1 ad1/00reso/Nonperm Salary RLS 00-397 Aes , a 0oro --C15— Section 2. This Resolution has no effect as to recurrent ocean lifeguards, since such at-will employees are represented by a recognized employee organization.
