A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING CALTRANS
APPROVE THE CLOSING OF PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY FOR
THE HUNTINGTON BEACH FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has organized an annual 4th of July
Parade since 1905 and desires to reestablish a portion of the original Parade route on
Pacific Coast Highway for Parade 2001; and
This community event requires the closure of Pacific Coast Highway, which
require the approval of CalTrans;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach requests that CalTrans approve the closure of Pacific Coast
Highway from Beach Boulevard to Goldenwest Street on Wednesday, July 4, 2001 from
5:00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of April 2001.

I, CONNIE BROCKWAY, the duly elected, qualified City Clerk of
the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of said
City, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was
passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the
members of said City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th
day of April, 2001 by the following vote:
AYES: Green, Boardman, Cook, Julien Houchen, Garofalo, Dettloff,
Bauer
