HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2002-46 RESOLUTION NO. 2002-46 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENTS TO THE HUNTINGTON BEACH CHANNEL (FACILITY NO. DOI) FROM MAGNOLIA STREET TO 1825 FEET UPSTREAM OF NEWLAND BY THE ORANGE COUNTY PUBLIC FACILITIES AND RESOURCES DEPARTMENT AND FUNDED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Orange County Public Facilities and Resources Department on behalf of the Orange County Flood Control District proposes to construct I00-year flood control improvements to the Huntington Beach Channel (Facility No. DOI) from Magnolia Street to 1825 feet upstream of Newland, which project has been found to have beneficial impacts on drainage within the City of Huntington Beach; and Approval of plans and specifications for this project by the City of Huntington Beach is required under provisions of the California Public Contract Code; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby approve plans and specifications for the proposed project to widen Huntington Beach Channel (Facility No. DOI) from Magnolia Street to 1825 feet upstream of Newland by the Orange County Public Facilities and Resources Department. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of May , 2002.
