A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING CALTRANS
APPROVE THE CLOSING OF PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY FOR
THE HUNTINGTON BEACH FOURTH OF JULY PARADE
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has organized an annual 4`h of July
Parade since 1904 and desires to use a portion of Pacific Coast Highway for the 2004
Parade; and
The community event requires the closure of Pacific Coast Highway,which
require the approval of CalTrans;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach requests that CalTrans approve the closure of Pacific Coast
Highway from Beach Boulevard to Goldenwest Street on Sunday, July 4, 2004, from
5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17 th day of May 2004.

I, CONNIE BROCKWAY, the duly elected, qualified City Clerk
of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of the City Council of
said City, do hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City
Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution
was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the
members of said City Council at an adjourned regular meeting thereof held
on the 17th day of May 2004 by the following vote:
AYES: Sullivan, Coerper, Hardy, Green, Boardman, Cook, Houchen
