A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING A
GRANT FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF BOATING
AND WATERWAYS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A
BOAT PUMPOUT I DUMP STATION FACILITY AT
THE HUNTINGTON HARBOR PUBLIC DOCK
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is desirous of replacing existing boat pumpout
and dump station facilities at the Huntington Harbor Public Dock to meet the needs of the
boaters and to provide public access to these facilities; and
The Department of Boating and Waterways is authorized to provide grants to cities,
counties, districts and other public agencies for the construction and development of boat
pumpout I dump station facilities; and
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is willing to enter into an agreement to
provide for the operation and maintenance of the proposed facilities at no cost to the State,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach hereby requests that the Department of Boating and Waterways provide a
grant for the purpose of replacing an existing public use boat pumpout and dump station facility
at the Huntington Harbor Public Dock.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
agrees to accept the grant and hereby authorizes the Director of Community Services to sign the
grant agreement and accept the grant for the purpose stated above.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 1 S th day of April , 2005.

and adopted by the affirmative vote of at least a majority of all the members of
said City Council at an regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day of April,
2005 by the following vote:
