HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2005-6 RESOLUTION NO. 2 0 0 5--6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF ELEVEN IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR STREET REHABILITATION FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAM WHEREAS,the City of Huntington Beach desires to implement the transportation improvements listed below; and The City of Huntington Beach has been declared by the Orange County Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M"turnback"funds; and The City's Circulation Element is consistent with the Orange County Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and The City of Huntington Beach will provide matching funds for each project as required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures Manual; and The Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate funds for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the County; and The City of Huntington Beach will not use Measure M funds to supplant Developer Fees or other commitments; and The City of Huntington Beach will use Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Funding as a supplement to their existing pavement management program, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby resolves as follows: 1. That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds in the amounts specified in the City's application from the Combined Transportation Funding Programs. Said funds shall be matched by funds from City at the percentage identified in their competitive grant applications as required and shall be used as supplemental funding to aid the City in the improvement of the following street(s): 1. Bolsa Chica Street (Oahu to Warner) 2. Goldenwest Street (McFadden to Laurelhurst) 3. Goldenwest Street(Laurelhurst to Warner) 4. Bolsa Chica Street (Rancho to McFadden) 5. Adams Avenue (City Limit to Sutton) 6. Bolsa Chica Street(McFadden to Oahu) 7. Adams Avenue (Sutton to Magnolia) 04reso/OCTA street rehab 1 Resolution No. 2005-6 8. Atlanta Avenue (Huntington to Delaware) 9. Brookhurst Street and Pacific Coast Highway Intersection 10. Beach Boulevard and Talbert Avenue Intersection 11.
