HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2007-68 RESOLUTION NO. 2007-68 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2007/08 BUDGET TO CARRY OVER UNSPENT APPROPRIATIONS FROM FISCAL YEAR 2006/07 WHEREAS, Article VI of the Huntington Beach City Charter requires the City Administrator to present and the City Council to adopt an annual City Budget; and The City Council has received, considered and adopted the Budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2007/08; and In the FY 2006✓07 budget, certain appropriations were made for one-time projects which are included in the approved Capital Improvement Plan for FY 2006/07; and The total funds for said approved projects were not spent and are thereby continued to FY 2007/2008, by project within a business unit and object account. When added to expenditures and encumbrances in FY 2006/07, said carryover shall not exceed the original appropriation for the same project as budgeted in FY 2006/07; and The continuation funding of capital improvement projects from 2006✓07 is for those which were approved in concept, and in accordance with Section 503 and Section 614 of the City Charter; and The construction of capital improvement projects requiring the use of professional services, such as geo-technical, water testing, engineering oversight, project management design, survey, and other required studies, were originally listed in the FY 2006/07 budget resolution.
