HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2009-30 RESOLUTION NO. 2009-30 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING SOLID COLORS FOR ALL NEWSRACKS IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OUTSIDE THE DOWNTOWN SPECIFIC PLAN BOUNDARY WHEREAS, on August 18, 2008, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 3813 amending Newsrack Ordinance 12.37 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code and Resolution 2008-52 designating the number and location of newsracks in the Downtown Specific Plan Boundary. In doing so, the City also designated and approved RAL 6006 Code Color Exterior Powder Coating for all newsracks in the Downtown Specific Plan Boundary; and On July 06 , 2009,the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 3837 amending Newsrack Ordinance 12.37 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code to provide more uniformity in the grouping and appearance of newsracks throughout the City. In doing so,the City also determined all newsracks, except those in the Downtown Specific Plan Boundary, shall use the solid colors of exterior powder coating as approved by Resolution of the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows: 1. All newsracks in the City, except those in the Downtown Specific Plan Boundary, shall be no more than two of the following solid colors: green, brown, white, blue or red exterior powder coating.
