HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2009-42 RESOLUTION NO. 2009-42 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DISSOLVING THE BOARD OF APPEALS WHEREAS, in 1966, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2331 which created among other things a Board of Appeals in conjunction with adoption of a Uniform Building Code; and The Uniform Building Code adopted in 1966, gave the City Council the right to order a building or structure demolished in the event the building was determined to be unsafe; and A Board of Appeals was established to permit building owners an opportunity to contest the City's decision to demolish, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows: The Board of Appeals established by Resolution no. 2331 no longer serves a purpose for the City and is hereby dissolved.
