HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2010-76 RESOLUTION NO. 2010-76 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE GRANT APPLICATIONS AND DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach desires to designate and authorize certain classifications in the city service as the City's agents for purposes of applying for and obtaining Emergency Management and Department of Homeland Security Grants (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Eligible Grants"). NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows: 1. That the City Administrator (or his designee), the Fire Chief, or the Emergency Services Coordinator, is hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Huntington Beach, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, any application and related documents to file for non-matching Eligible Grants and matching grants that do not require direct costs but are matched with in-kind administrative expenditures, such as administrative staff time and other budgeted expenditures. 2. That the City of Huntington Beach, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, hereby authorizes its agents to provide to the federal or state agency providing the Eligible Grant for all matters pertaining to any such grant, the assurances and agreements required.
