HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2012-97 RESOLUTION NO 2012-97 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2012/13 BUDGET TO CARRY OVER UNSPENT APPROPRIATIONS FROM FISCAL YEAR 2011/12 WHEREAS, Article VI of the Huntington Beach City Charter requires the City Manager to present and the City Council to adopt an annual City Budget, and The City Council has received, considered and adopted the Budget for Fiscal Year (FY) 2012/13, and In the FY 2011/12 budget, certain appropriations were made for one-time projects which are included in the approved Capital Improvement Plan for FY 2011/12, and The total funds for said approved projects were not spent and are thereby continued to FY 2012/2013, by project within a business unit and object account When added to expenditures and encumbrances in FY 2011/12, said carryover shall not exceed the original appropriation for the same project as budgeted in FY 2011/12, and The continuation funding of capital improvement projects from 2011/12 is for those which were approved in concept, and in accordance with Section 503 and Section 614 of the City Charter, and The construction of capital improvement projects requiring the use of professional services, such as geo-technical, water testing, engineering oversight, project management design, survey, and other required studies, were originally listed in the FY 2011/12 budget resolution.
