HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2018-31 RESOLUTION NO. 2018-31 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING PERMIT PARKING DISTRICT "W" WITHIN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 4051, allowing the establishment of permit parking districts in residential areas under certain conditions; and The citizens owning properties along the residential street known as Farinella Drive between Edwards Street and Cooper Lane have petitioned for establishment of a permit parking district to be in effect all day, every day; and The Director of Public Works reviewed the petition, sent a ballot for further consideration to residents of the petitioned streets, and caused an investigation which reasonably established that unrestricted parking interferes with available parking for residents and guests, and produces sources of health and safety concerns, Therefore, the Director of Public Works has found the requirements of Ordinance 4051 to be reasonably fulfilled, and determined that the Permit Parking District will not affect other uses of on-street parking. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows: 1. The above recitals are all true and correct. 2. Permit Parking District"W" is hereby established to include properties along Farinella Drive between Edwards Street and Cooper Lane, effective all day, every day. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day of June , 2018.
