HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2018-49 RESOLUTION NO. 2018-49 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING PERMIT PARKING DISTRICT"P" WITHIN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 4051, allowing the amendment of permit parking districts in residential areas under certain conditions; and The citizens owning properties along the residential street known as Royalist Drive between Aulnay Lane and Willett Lane, and along the residential street known as Willett Lane south of Royalist Drive, have petitioned to be included in Permit Parking District"P;" and The Director of Public Works reviewed the petition, sent a ballot for further consideration to residents of the petitioned streets, and caused an investigation which reasonably established that unrestricted parking: interferes with available parking for residents and guests, and produces sources of health and safety concerns; Therefore, the Director of Public Works has found the requirements of Ordinance 4051 to be reasonably fulfilled, and determined that the Permit Parking District will not affect other uses of on- street parking. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows: 1. The above recitals are all true and correct. 2. Permit Parking District "P" is hereby amended to include properties along Royalist Drive between Aulnay Lane and Willett Lane, and properties along Willett Lane south of Royalist Drive, effective all day, every day.
