This is an impossibility as the bldg. construction, paving; grading and other work isn't com- plete as yet and we are under the impression from the General Contractor for the Bldg. that these itemswill not be complete until at least NovQmber. i (2) If we proceed with only portions of the work at this time, said work will be exposed to damages, resulting in extra cost to us. The balance of the work, the largest portion, at the 6ime it is mane ready for us, will cost of considerably more due to the ever exo~binatly increasing costs of materials, labor, gasoline, equipment parts, etc. If we hold off on any work ti 1 later, then the whole of the work will be exposed to the drastic in- ` cost increases outlined in the prior sentence. (3) Doing the work in a {piecemeal manner will cause many more man- hours of labor as well as the increasing cost of labor per hour: (4) We feel this job is not ready for bid at this time. if the City's Intent was for the above conditions to prevail, then they should have mentioned the problems in the bid documents.
