Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and plant necessary to remove all available soil, load, haul, and de -liver to selected locations; to pay all taxes, permit fees, license fees, or hauling fees :involved. r' 3. Patrol all haul routes daily and keep clean and safe for travel at all times, including equipment scraping, sweeping, and/or viater! washing. 11. PO,SS, I)'C. - EXCAVATION OF "BRUTE-, ROTHERS PIT" - A:ApRCVED The City Administrator read a cominunication from the Director VF Public Works concerning negotiations for the complet'on of the excavation of the "Bruce Brothers Pit" located southwest: of Talbert Avenue and Gothard Strop+. He recom- mended that Council authorize execution of an agreement between the City and C. W. Pose, Inc., for the excav tion work. On motion by Bartlett, Council approved the recommendation of the Cif: i Administrator and authorized the City Admini trator to execute an agreement between the: City and C. Pit" located southwest of Talbert and Gothard in preparation of the fill operation. In our opinion the best proposal is with the firm of C. W. Poss Inc. The contract walls for the excavation of approximately 200,000 cubic yards of mate ial at $0.25/cubic yard over a max!muri period of 120 days. Capon completion, of the excavation wt can proceed with our fill operation. The existing hole of 430,000 cubic yards plus the 200,000 to be excavated should yield approximately $300,000 from the fill operation.
