Relocation is required of certain utility facilities of OWNER, cast. of which is to be borne by STATE bet -Aux; Section 703 of the Streets and Highways Code. Publicly owned utility used solely to supply water that is lawfully maintained in a city street and installed prior to its becoming a state highway. A. Inst-ill 1. 1846 feet 12" I.D. CN.ICH W.S. water pipeline on the north side of Edinger street within the Freeway construction area. 2. 695 feet of 20" I.D. n 1/411 steel pipe ca3ing. 3. 2-12" P1. gate valves. 4. 1-1" A-V/A-R valve. 5. 1-6" Blow -off. B. Relocate One existing A-V/A-R valve assembly. C. State shall reimburse Owner upon receipt of six (6) copies of itemized bills of cost of the work in accordance vith Owner's regularly established accounting p:cactice, with the State receiving credit for accrued depreciation. (5) Sanctions for Noncompliance: in the event of the enntractor's noncom- pliance with the nondiscriminatiun provisions of this contract, the State Highway i)epnrtment shall impose such tontract "netion% as it or the Bureau of Public Bondy may det,•rinine to be appropriate, including, but not lir.:ited to, (a) withholding of payments to the contrartor under the contract until the contractor complies, antl or (b) cancellation, t:rmination or suspensicin of the contract, in whole or in part. The contractor will take such action with respect to any subcontract or procurement as the State Highway I)epartrnent or the Bureau of Public: Roads may direct as a means of enforcing such provision% including satactions for noncompliance-.
