On March 21, 1988, the City Council approved the participation of tl-a Department of
Public Works in a Federal Hazard Elimination Study projec-;. Plans ftad Speci9cath;ns
have been completed and this projeLt is ready to be advertised. A service agreement is
required with the California Department of Transportation to test and certify materials
for this project.

1. That the City Council approve the plans and speci-fications for this project and
authorize the Department of Public Works to advertise for bidi for the modification
of ibe traffic signal at the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and Magnolia Street.
2. Approve the attached senice agreement for testing and certification of materials.
