THIS LEASE, dated the �day of

HUNTINGTON BEACH COMPANY, a corporation, hereinafter called
"Lessor1P, hereby leases unto the CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, hereinafter
called 'Lessee", that certain parcel of land located in Grange County,
California, and more particularly described as follows:
Lots 8, 10, 129 14, 16, 18, 20, and 22 of Block 416, 171h Street
Section of the City of Huntington Beach, as shown on a map re-
corded in Book 23, Page 15 of Assessor's Parcel Maps, records
of Planning Department, City of Huntington Beach, California.
This lease, subject to the terms, conditions and agreement herein
stated shall be for a term of six (6) months from and after the date hereof,
and from month to month thereafter until terminated by Lessor or Lessee
by a thirty (30) day notice in writing to the other party of intention to
terminate said lease.
Lessee shall not be required to pay Les, r monthly rental.
This lease is personal to Lessee, and Lessee shall not sell nor
assign any of the rights and privileges herein given without the written
consent of the Lessor.
Lessee agrees that it will, at all times during the continuance of
this agreement, keep said premises, including all buildings, structures, and
other property erected or placed thereon in an orderly condition and in good
repair at Lessee's own expense.
Lessee shall save and keep Lessor harmless and will protect Lessor
from and against all loss, cost, liability and expense of any character with
respect to any claim or demand for death or injury to persons or damage to or
loss of property arising out of or attributable t5 the use by Lessee, its
k agents, servants, employees or invitees of the lehsed prenises.
Lessee agrees to obtain any and all consents, clearances or permits
from the City of Huntington ;Beach or others as may be required for the
`. activities in, which the Lessee intends to engage.

Lessee agrees that he will, within thirty (30) days after any
terminatica of this lease, remove from said premises all buildings,

structures or other property of whatsoever nature now located or hereinafter
placed thereon by the Lessee and shall surrender and deliver unto the Lessor

the quiet and peaceful possession of said premises in as good repair, and
condition, <<s were said premises at the commencement of this lease. It is

understood and agreed that all structures, accessories or equipment now
located cr hereafter placed or erected thereon by Lessee on said premiss shall
remain the property of the Lessee and may be removed by him at any time during
the continuance of this lease and within the said period of thirty (30) days
after any termination of this lease If said property is not so removed by
the Lessee, then said property shall, at the option of the Lessor become the
property of the Lessor and the Lessee shall be deemed to have surrendered
voluntarily all the right, title and interest in and to said property, or
Lessor shall have the right to remove the same at the expense of the Lessee,
and Lessee agrees to pay the 'Lessor the costs of such rem ,L upon demand.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereto executed this agreement.

The attached lease agrees,,ent between, the City of
Huntington Beach and the Huntington Beach Company
is a surface lease only for property located on
r the east side of Seventeenth Strcet, north of Orange.
The property Wilde used for a r.ecrea'"ion projec't_"
and approval is recommended by the Recreation in-&--
Parks Commission and the City Administrator.- There
is no charge for the use of the property. Mr. Norm
E Worthy;, Director of Recreation and Parks Department
will answer any questions the Council may have.
The document has been approved by the City Attorney.
