Direct City Clerk to publish Notice Inviting Sealed Rids. ANALYSIS: The bid p.oposal for the project was arranged to enable bidders to bid on either the narural gas engine, the pump, or both the engine and the pump. This was done to encourage as many bidders as possible and also to deal directly with the pump engine suppliers, thus eliminating the administrative costs of one supplier dealing; with both the engine and pump manufacturers. ALTERNATE ACTION: Postpone the purchase of the pupping equipment. This will delay the in- stallation of the equipment; thus it will not be functional during the peak water use period. The cost of the equip-ment w: ll also be higher. PEC:EAE:ek no.41 AF'FMAVIT OF A'I'TMN-IY-IN-FACT FOR SJRM STATE OF ... , .
