The contractor shall furnish or arrange for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, plant and ldboratory services necessary to perform the above work. The contractor must be curs:ently licensed to perform the work describwl, including handling, treating, transporting and disposing of hazardous waste materials; or shall sub- contract: with firms sa licensed aryl or registers4d . All movements of regulated materials must be made under proper manifests, and the proper copies of each shall be submitted to the city. The contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the regulations of all agencir:s having any jurisdiction over the management ofunderground storage tanks, includinq but not limited to the Huntington Beach Fire Department, Environmental Protection Agency, California Department of Health Services, South Coast Air Quality Management � District, Regional Quality Water Quality Control Board, California Highway Patrol, and an; other as -nary not be listed. Copies of the Fire Department recpiirements are attached and considered a part of these requixements. The City has made the applications, for the tank removal per.-Jts to the Huntington Beach Fire Department and to the Orange County Department of Health Services; and will caul for site specific EPA numbers for each location. Copies of all of the above will be furnished to the successful contractor. The contractor shod make all calla for any inspections required under the above p =its, and shall adhere to the directives issued as a result of s»ch inspections. The first site sur-reyed was in the parking area of the Bunk ci. dealership on rile southeast corner cf Frt;i, Stro:et and Walnut Avenue, At this site the sur'_ce trace of We Tanks was investigated cy probing the interior of each tank. The data c!titained allowed us to CalCulate tna depth, diameter, and length cf eac.t tank and are presented below. The existence of a tank on the north side of the building we.s evident Wcause the vent line and fill box were visit!e. The surface trace of this tank was also determined by proting its interior. The length of the tank was determined to De approzin:ately 1 , leer, while the lewes; and uppermost levels were meusured at 6.3 and 15 feet below the surface, respov.4.eW. These data indicate that the lank•.% approximately A feet in diameter anc has a volume of 1060 gallons. To the soutt, col this building a ialn!c was suspected to exist beicwground. A lilt wax was evident. however it had bean filled will mud. A prone was inserted into the fill to a depth of about 5 feet vehere it met significant refs ante. Because the inferior of tie tank was not iczessible to tho tank probe, ground penetrating radar (CPR), electromagnetic, and magnetic surveys were, nnducted to collect data about the tank. 'Ground penstrating radar met with limited Success, most probably dare io the limiting cnararter's',ics of the highly conductive and clayey nature of he underlying soil.
