Honorable Mayor
and City Coun-iL
City of Huntington Beach
Attention:David D. Rowlands
City Administrator
Subject: Marilyn Pump Station
Agr(7emant
Gentlemen;
Transmitted herewith is an agreement between the City
and Occidental Land Company which calls for the City to
reimburse Occidental $27,500 for building the Marilyn Pump
Station and for the lot on which the facility was built.
Although no formal reimbursement agreement was entered
Into, the City did agree in 1962 to pay S. V. HQnsaker and
Sons $89,000 for building the facility and $5,000 for the
lot. Partial payment was made to Hunsaker for the pump
station before that company was acquired by Occidental. The
unpaid balance. for the pump station and the $5000 for the
lot total $27,923; however, only $27,500 remains in Drainage
District'5B, and Occidental agrees to accept that amount a .
payment in full
Occidental also agrees to deed the lot on which the
station was built to the City.
I recommend that your Honorable Body execute the
agreement.
Very truly yours,
/H. E. Harttye
Director of Public Works
