It is appropriate to also widen the approaches to the bridire at the saze time the bridge construction takes place. The zost of the bri;ige, widening itself will be borne by the Count, of Orange. The cost of the bridge approaches will be borne by the city in w?iich 'k he approach i located. The total estimated cost for the CiY;;'s portion is approximately 58,COOX. ). Copy of the letter dated April 9, 1968, from Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, guaranteeing dedication and street improvements on Aliso Creek Road is accepted. T.-IEREFORE, IT IS AGREED by the pantie:.• 'hereto as follows: I. COUNTY SHALL: A. Be and is hereby designated as Project Engineer, Contracting and Construction Agent for the parties to do and perform all things necessary in order to design and construct the west bridge approach to the Adams Avenue Bridge over the Santa Ana River, and to execute and deliver all documents required in connection with the construction and completion of said Project, including Certificate of Cost and Certificate of Completion of Project. IT.. CITY SHALL: A. B. At all time during the progress of construction of said Project have accene to the work thereon for the purpose of inspection thereof, and should CITY deem any remedial measurel to be necessary, CITY shall notify CouM thereof. The total estimated cost for the CITY portion is presently $8, 000, which sum includes an estimate of the engineering and overhead for the CITY portion. IV. CITY's share of the construction cost shall be determined on the . basis of the amount of work done on said portion of rc-n dway lying within its boundaries, as these boundaries exist at the time of ad- vertizing the project. V. Upon completion of construction of said portion of pavement, COUNTY shall submit full, true and correct conies of documents, certificates and itemized bills to said CITY- and CITY shall reimburse COUNTY within thirty (30) days upon submission of such costs. Such bills shall be based on the actual quantities of construction and the unit prices bid for the contract; and shall also contain a charge for engineering and inspection based on the proportion of contract cost for the portion within CITY to the total contract cost and the total engineering and inspection costs, plus a charge for overhead on the engineering and inspection performed by COM.Trf, and exclusive of administrative overhead.
