18 i WHEREAS, Warner Avenue is an arterial highway of countywide, sk:riificalict'
14 which is on the CITY and COUNTY Master Plans of Arterial Highways and which includes
15 a bridge over balsa Bay, a major w.eterway , hereinafter referred to as "THIOGE"; and
16 ( WHEREAS, the existing bridge is structurally deficient and requires replace-
17 ment ; and
18 WMREAS, COUNTY has budgeted funds for BRIDGE tinder the MAJOR Bridge ( w
19 j Program; and
20 !� WHEREAS said BRIDGE ! ies within the city limits of Huntington Leach ; and
21% WHEREAS, CITY has offered to design , constrict and inspect said BRIDGE;
22 and
23 � tiTHF.R);AS, COUNTY concurs that CITY should be the iaplementing agency for

24 the replacement of BRIDGE ; and '

25 WHEREAS, COUNTY and CITY Irish to define areas of responsibility in the

2 WHEREAS, the City intends to file the Notice of Determination for BRIDGE
3 with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County prior to advertising the ,
4 construction contract for bids .

NOW, THEREFORE, IT iS AGREED by thF parties hereto as follows :
6 . I. CITY shall :
7 A. Be and is hereby designated n " .cad Agency" for compliance with �

9 ( B. Upon satisfactory compliance with CEQA:

1Q 1 . Be and is hereby designated as Project Engineer for the parties
11 � to do and perform all things necessary in order to design said BR!GGE.

13 agent fir the parties to do and perform all .acts necessary or required 'in order t;)

14 construct the BRIDGE in accordance with the plans and set-cifications , iu.cliding �
15 material control , inspection of the construction work and to execute acid deliver

17 said BRIDGE, including Certificate of Cost and Certificate of Complet ,.on of

21 4 control , construction engineering and insper ;on and striping;. Said costs are

22 estimated cc be �550,000.

2.3 said BRIDGE construction shall be to sufficient width to accomodate
24 four (4) travel lands and adjacent pedestrian facilities . Said width shall be '
2511 subject to approval by COUNTY prior to commencement of final design of BRIDGE.
