THIS AGREEMENT, by and between the CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH a municipal corporation of the Stine of California
hereinafter called CITY, and RECRVATION LAND PLANNERS, INC.,

hereinafter called ARCHITECT,
WITNESSETH:

Newland,. :'ar". Huntington, and Marine, and Golden West Colle,ae;
ARCHITECT is a landscape architectural firm, the principal
members of which are duly registered under the laws of the
State of California, and the Director of Public Works is the
representative of the CITY,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED between the parties
horeto that:
1. ARCHITECT shall prep4 e and furnish to CITY, -complete `
and ready for ttse,, all necesea.ry studies, sketches,, schemat .cs,
estivn ,es working, drawings and specifications; shall check

construction work] and shall furnish all other architectural

after a, d required for the six (6) parks listed hereinabove, ?= '
having an estimated constructi( cost of $636,o00.00, and more
specifically bet forth in Exhibit "P" entitled "Scope of Work
to be Accomplisxied," attached hereto aird made a part hereof.
ARCHITECT agrees to design facilities which can be constructed '.

including utilities, plumbing, electrical, pavJ,ng and pl,anti.rtg,
shall conform to all applicable CITY code requirements ARCHITECT'
shall also conform to the technical instx,uctions as issued by
the director of Public Works.

a construction contract cannot be awarded within ten percent

approval of the design d,evelopm;r,t phase plans and estimates,
ARCHITECT shall proceed with: the preparation of compete working
drawings and specifications as re4ulred by the Director of
Public Works for the construction of said project. An original
and five (5) Yopies of the Working drawings, specifications,
and 94timates shall be delivered to the Director of ?ublie
Works *Aithin ninety (90) days after approval of the design
development phase. After worldng drawings and specifications
have beea approved by CITY$ as 1,ndicattz by the sig4ature
thereon of the Director, ARCIAXTECT shall furnish seta of prints

pewifications as may be required by the Director as per

Upon approval of final plans, ARCHITECT shall deliver
to CITY one (1) set of tracings, in such medium and on such
materials as may be required by ,he Director of Public 4orks,
suitable for blueprinting, chow ng complete approved construction
requirements Such tracings as are delivered shall. be .signed
by the Direetorr as an indication of approval thereof and shah..

6. ARCHITECT shah, perform and provic.e all necessary

$. All services to be rendered hereunder shall be subject #
to the direction and approval of the Director of Public Works. �.
Approval by said Directcr of drawings, designs, specifications `
and other incidental architectural work or materials f'urniahed
hereunder shall, not in any spray relieve ARCHITECT of responsibility ;��5•�
for the technical adequacy of the work, ,` '

ARCHIZ�CT's fees for the aforementioned architectural
services shall be computed at 7.4 percent of the actual
construction cost. The estimated construction cost for the
six (6) parks listed hereinabove is set forth in Paragraph 1
of this contract
10. The cost for the work, xnclud;tng the fees and reim-
bursement items,, will be bil!T-' by ARCHITECT to CST' monthly
in propa,Uon to the work accomplished and to the extent that
•the reimbursable Items she incurred, said bills to be submitted
to the Director of Public Works for his approval before payment

A. The six projects will generally follow the "neighborhood

Facilities and design should include, but not be limited r
