EJECOir NKNI)ATION: 1. Accept the bid from Snow House Movers in th,t amount of $26,500.00 and authorize the +ssuance of a purchase order for the work. 2. Authorize the Director of Public Works to expend $3,000.00 for project contingencies (change orders), if required. • Al&LUS• " City Council authorized that bids be received for the moving of the three pier build;ltgs, now known as Neptune's Locker, the Captain's Galley and the Tackle Box. The three: buildings will be removed from the pier, transported to the City Yard and stored. Ultimately the City Council will decide the issues of their restoration, location and itse. Construction contingencies funds for change orders that may be needed for unforeseen or unknown conditions in the amount of $3,000.00 require approval of the Council for their eucuraberance and expenditure. a Aids were received on July 19, 1990 and are summarized below: 1. RECOMbENDA. N; Authorize the advertising for bids to move three of the existing pier buildings off of the pier {o a storage area. ANALYSIS: The three buildings of hist'srlcal significance on the pier, previously known as Naptune's Locker, the Captains Galley and the Tackle Box, appear to be in a condition that would allow them to be moved off the pier in 'a condition that would allow for possible future restoration. Bids will be received to move the three buildings from the pier to the City Maintenance Yard on Gothard Street where they can be stored. Ultimately the City Council will decide as to their restoration, locatians and use. kzsmoval of these stru. -urea should be done prior to the beginning of the demolition portion or the pier project.
