NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the contract heretofore awiirded by tho C-Ity Council of
the C-i ty of Huntington Br-ac<1, California to STEINY ANTD MITCHEL, INC.

who was the company thereon, for doing the following work to-wit:
construction of improvements , channelization and signal-
ization of the following intersections : Springdale
Street at McFadden. Ave, Fifth Street at Main Street,
and Warner Avenue at Algonquin Street , all in the City
of Huntington Beach, California .
That said work was completed by said company according to plans and. specifications
and to the satisfaction of the City Engineer of the City of Huntington Beach and
that said work was accepted by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
at a re-ul.ar meeting thereof held on the6th day of November, 1967

struction of street improvements , channelization , and signalization of
the following intersections : Springdale Street at McFadden Avenue,

OVERTIME RATES
CARPENTERS - Double time for all overtimm'.2
CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the
regularly constituted straight Lime shift , and all other overtime shall '
be double time .

OPERATING ENGINEERS - First three hours outside the regularly constit-
uted shift shall be at the rate of time and one-half . All additional
hours shall be at double- time . On Saturday work, the first eleven
hours shall be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double
time . Sundays shall be double- time.
IRON WORKERS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess
of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on
Saturdays , Sundays and recognized holidays .
LABORERS - Time and one-half , except Sundays and holiiays , which are
double time.
TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half , except Sundays and holidays , which are
double time.
The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in
the schedule , but which ntay be required to execute the proposed con-
tract , shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified
for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Lab or
Agreements .
The rates per hour , indicated above are based upon the
local prevailing rates per day being eight ( 8) times the above sched-
uled rate per hour. hiurly rates of pay are based upon eight (8)
hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per
diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate
per hour multiplied by the number 170f hours worked on said day other
their for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays .
All work performed in ecess of eight (8) hours per day or
forty (40) hours per week shall be paid for at the prevailing overtime
rate , for each craft involved .
Plans and specifications together with proposal form may be
obtained at the office of the Director of Public Works , City Hall ,

No bid will be received unless it is made on a blank firm
furnished by the Director of Public Works . The special attention of
prospective bidders is called to the "Proposal Requirements" , set
forth in the specifications , for full directions as to bhe bidding.
The fore going quantities are approximate only, bedng given
as a b;.isis for the comparison of bids , and the Cit• of Huntington Beach
does not , express or by implication agree that the actual amount of
work will correspond therewith but reserves the right to increase or
decrease the amount of any class or portion of the work, as may be
deemed necessary or expediant by the Director of Public Works .
All bids will be compared on the basis of the Director of
Public Works estimate of the quantities of work to be done.
N;: bid will be accepted from a Contractor who is not licensed
in accordance with the law, under the provisions of Chapter 791 ,
Statutes of 1929 , as amended or Chapter 37 , Statutes of 1939 , as
amer(Led, or to whom a proposal form has not been issued by the City of
Huntington Beach.
Each bid shall be made out on a form to be dtained at the
office of the Director of Public Works , City Hall , Huntington Beach,
California; shall be sealed and filed with the City Clerk of said
City on or before , and shall be opened by
a committee composed of the City Clerk, the City Attorney and Director
of Public Works at , results of
said bidding will be feported to the City Council of said City of
Huntington Beach at their regular meeting to be held on Monday, the
1967 at the hour of o ' clock PM in
the Council. Chambers in the City Hall of said City of Huntington Beach ,
and shall be acted upon by said City Council at their said regular
meeting of 1967 .
