',r•. d .. r APP'ilS CATION rom t CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH to ' URBAN LAND INSTITUTE FOR A PANEL STUDY r, The City of jj, pn BprhT__Q�,; i f- , hereinafter called the Sponsor , wishes to obtain advice and recommendations regarding certain problems involving; the present and future development of the City of Huntington Bt:each from the Urban band Institute, a nonprofit corporation organized and existing under ' :i and by vLrtue of the laws of the State of Illinois, with offices in the Dist:ict• of Columbia, which organization maintains a research and advisory staff for the purpose t.: of benefiting the general public by beer,2r planning and utilization of urban land through rational and scientific methods. If this application is approved by the Urban Land Institute, the Institute agrees: L. To provide a crnnultation panel of not less than 12 persons, i 3 3 composed of •accredited Council members of the Institute and who variously have t broad e:: erience and knowledge a linable to the fields to be considered Includint P g 1�P , g r i the planning, developmetnr and redevelopment of urban land, and the ownership, management: and financing of urban property. � � 1 2 . ' 3R , .t. its reports, conclusions and recommendations which will be presented to the Sponsor and its invited guests in panel scissions at the close of the study. 3. The Institute will furnish to the Sponsor the result of its study, r .� conclusions and recommendations in written report form to the extent of _�'ff tg duplicate original copies, including such exhibit. as it may seem to be necessary to augment the text. Further copies of the report, if ordered before the termina- tion•of the panel sesfiions, will be provided at the cost of printing, mailing and j a handling. J 4. ifie Sponsor at its expense agrees to furnish the Institute or its ? `x designated representatives and panel, not less than 30 days in advance of the panel meeting, sets of such pertinent background data in the form f t ? of reports, plans, charts, etc. , as may be presently available or readily developed � i t y z for the preliminary study of the panel prior to its inspection on the ground. � �. The Sponsor at its expense agrees to arrange insofar as possible t-i have appropriate persons in said City, including city officials and others, avail- i able for the purpose of consulting with and furnishing information to the pastel on specific matters relevant. to the study as may be necessary and advisable during the period of the panel 's visit. j 6. The Sponsor agrees, at its expense. to provide conference rooms for the Yuse of the panel and staff during their stay and trAnspertation to be used for an necessary Inspection of said City or areas b the panel. The Institute agrees to absorb the travel and hotel expenses of its �r ? panel and staff. .� i a. In return for such gift the Sponsor may, at its opO,on, designate one individual or organiza- tion as a Foundation member of the Institute for a period of one year, for each r ` one thousand dollars ($1,000.) donated. Persons or organizati.ona so designated shall thereby become entitled to receive aLl publications and other prerogatives made available to Foundation members of the Institute. It is further understood that the Institute may make such use of the report prepared of the panel ' s i'irdings x and recommendations as it may deem desirable, and the Sponsor herewith specifically i 'i 1 . agrees that the I.r,stitute may publish and disseminate such report or any part thereof in conjunction with its scientific and educational programs.
